DMARC Test

DMARC tells receivers what to do with mail that looks like an impersonation.

Enter a domain and press “Gugu!” to see a clear summary here.

About DMARC

DMARC tells receiving servers what to do when SPF or DKIM does not pass. It also lets you see which sources send mail using your domain through reports.

DMARC protects against phishing and domain impersonation. The safest route is to verify your sending sources first, then raise protection gradually.

How do I fix DMARC?

  1. Make SPF and DKIM align with the domain your mail actually sends from.
  2. Start with p=none and add a rua email address where you can receive reports.
  3. After reports show every legitimate source, move gradually to p=quarantine and then p=reject.

Frequently asked questions

Does DMARC replace SPF and DKIM?

No. DMARC uses the SPF and DKIM results. At least one must pass and align with the From domain.

Does p=none provide protection?

p=none does not block messages; it only lets you collect reports. Use quarantine or reject after you have verified your sources.

When will DMARC reports arrive?

Most receivers send aggregate reports about every 24 hours. The first reports can take a few days to arrive.
